The purpose of watchcat is to share ideas and thoughts on issues facing public libraries in an environment of: 1) increased competition for public dollars, 2) a rapidly changing information landscape, 3) politicians looking for more control of public agencies and their boards, and 4) an environment in which newspapers are struggling to survive.
